Community-focused and non-profit organizations depend on volunteers to succeed. Many organizations at Mizzou work in and are tied to the CoMO community, however there are lots of ways to get involved in Columbia outside of the University. Mustard Seed, Granny’s House, MO Special Olympics, Mid-Missouri Food Bank, True North, and the Show-Me State Games are all examples of volunteer-run organizations.
Again, the first step is to lower down all your options. Consider what skills you would like to develop, which organizations inspire you, and what organizations will provide you with opportunities that align with your goals.
